More than 2,000 companies world wide, including 50 companies in China, have committed to purchase 100% cage-free eggs by 2025 or earlier. This puts a strong pressure on the supply chain to increase egg output from cage-free farms. FAI, along with our partner in China, IQC, launched a cage free research project in 2019. Together we have trained auditors and consultants to conduct assessment visits to cage-free farms in China to document and evaluate their farming model, breeding stock, and animal welfare indicators.

This interactive map shows all the location and basic information of the cage-free farms visited. It is not meant to be an exhaustive list for cage-free egg production in China, but a reference for retailers and other stakeholders interested to source from or collaborate with cage-free farms.
